My Statement
For 14 years it has been my full time passion to get Democrats elected so that we have leaders who care about all people, not just the rich and powerful. In 1994, after starting a Democratic club in a Republican suburb of Houston(the Kingwood Area Democrats), I found that my calling in political activism is grass roots organizing. Later I was recruited by the Harris County Democratic Party Chair to start other neighborhood groups. There are now over 30 Democratic clubs. In 2003 I was hired as Executive Director of the party. This year might be the red to blue turn-around for this 3rd largest county in the country. And I like to think I helped make that happen.

Giving up that job and my friends was hard. But my husband and I finally fulfilled our dream of moving to Oregon. I was so glad to find there was already a GREAT group in Sandy, meeting monthly, and working hard. I found a new family! The Oregon Trail Democrats are as committed as I am to changing the world. I have worked long and hard, and would be honored to be a 2008 Oregon National Delegate.
