Candidate Statement:

After a lifetime of political, educational and community activism, I would be honored to represent Oregon and the Democrats of the 1st CD at this historic national convention. This is my first time running to be a national delegate.

Here are a few reasons I am asking for your support:

My work over the past 8 years of helping to build the Democratic Party of Washington County into a strongly blue county is the kind of grass roots activism espoused by my candidate Barak Obama. I’ve enjoyed the ride and feel gratified by our success.
I love fundraising for our party (my finance committee has raised nearly $120,000 for the Washington County Dems) and I pledge to be an active fundraiser for the Barak Obama campaign in the general election.
If elected, I’ll be true to the principles of Obama’s grass roots activism and come home energized to begin anew the work of our party to elect good Democrats, including Barak Obama, to office.
