Jenni has been involved in politics for 18 years. She is a member of a constituency that is often underrepresented in the Democratic Party - low income, married women with a family (particularly those under the age of 35). It is a constituency that we've been trying to convert to Democrats for some time. Jenni lives in Gresham, which is the fourth largest city in the state (100,000 residents). She has been married almost 11 years and has one daughter - Abby, age 6. She has served in a variety of leadership positions within the Party, and has given thousands of hours on campaigns from Gresham to Beaverton to Lincoln City. In 2006, Jenni worked as the Multomah County Democrats' Field Director, helping to turn out the vote and ensure Democrats won across the county. She is currently running for the Gresham City Council. She is also working hard to bring more low to middle income residents in the city's suburbs to the Democratic Party. These are people whose best interests are served by having Democrats in office, but have for too long voted Republican because of false ideas of what the Party stands for and represents. These voters are key to victories in areas like eastern Multnomah County.
