Like many others in my generation, I’ve been inspired by Obama and his message of hope and change. We need to change partisan politics. We can start by sending delegates to the Democratic National Convention who demonstrate the diversity in the Democratic Party.
I’m nineteen years old and this will be the first time I vote in a presidential election. When Obama wins, it will be because of the support he has from young people. I want to bring their voice to the National Convention. I’m running so we can make sure that people who are the future of the Democratic Party help make the big decisions about the future of the Democratic Party.
My Campaign Promise: If elected, I will devote my time at the DNC to fulfilling my duties as a delegate, building skills and relationships to better help Oregon and providing a voice for the millions of young Americans who are supporting Obama and who deserve a seat at the table.
I was born and raised in CD1 and I have a long record of activism. I've worked with campaigns, legislators and students to promote progressive causes. In 2004, I served as a Page at the National Convention in Boston. When I get to Denver, I will already know how to get things done.
