My Statement
Barack Obama’s inspirational leadership, his encouragement that "Yes, we can" change politics and build the political will to achieve real solutions, was a call to action for me. I determined to do all I could to support his candidacy and help build this movement for change. Since January, I have been working full-time as a volunteer on the Obama campaign, traveling to San Francisco and Corpus Christi during early primaries, then returning to Oregon to run the Eugene office and help organize in southern Oregon. We have a lot of work yet to do in this very high stakes election and I am deeply committed to continuing to work full-time on the campaign until victory in November.

Being a delegate would be a great honor and I will work closely with the Oregon delegation to promote our common agenda at the convention. I will also work with Senator Clinton’s supporters to unify our party. That is the path to victory in November, and I believe, as Barack says,

"We can accomplish anything

if we have the courage to change our politics."
