| My Statement
|
This is the first time in the history of the country we have the ability to truly make a difference by nominating either an African-American or a woman. Whichever candidate is chosen, Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, this is our opportunity to forge new ground. We have the unique chance to mold different cultures, races, genders and generations into a unified movement for change. Not since the civil rights movement and the anti-war protests of the 1960s have we had the opportunity to bring all Americans under one banner for one purpose.
Please cast your vote to allow me to represent our state in Denver. After over 30 years of service to the state and National Democratic Party I consider it an honor to be a part of this historic and memorable convention. Thank you!
