Hillary must have strong, experienced and passionate representation at the convention. This will not be a cakewalk and those elected delegates must understand and respect the importance of this position.
My five years of experience as a party officer allows me unique insight into Democratic Party politics. As your delegate, I would represent Senator Clinton as a team player with pride and passion, loyalty and enthusiasm.
This election cycle has brought to use improved campaign and organizing advancements. These strategies need to be brought to and applied in Oregon. That can only happen if delegates use this opportunity to actively participate in the goings-on's and listen and learn from others.
I pledge to represent Oregon Democrats by using this opportunity to listen and learn to other Democrats nationwide, find out what is and is not working, with the commitment to bring these resources back to Oregon to help build the state party.
Finally, each delegate represents thousands of Clinton supporters in our congressional district. Over 15% of the 1st CD population is of Hispanic/Latino decent.
As a man of Hispanic decent, I am acutely aware of the political under-representation of the Hispanic/Latino community and the potential for disenfranchisement.
