My Statement
My vision and what I strive to do; be a good steward in service to the community, being an advocate and demanding fairness in the democratic process, working with people who have differences of opinions to form consensus and mentoring individuals to be our future democratic leaders. It is not easy being a person of color living in Oregon. The Democratic Party as a whole has presented me with many opportunities and also challenges to test my values and determination to serve. Many have said I have earned there respect and friendship in my work with various people and committees in what WE have achieved.

Talking the talk is easy. Walking the walk is the hard part. Twice before you have selected me as your representative. Let me again serve you the people of Oregon’s 4th Congressional District as your delegate to this year National Convention in Denver.
