In my 80th year, I want to be there when we select a Democratic President who will back our country to truth, financial stability and economic justice, giving us leadership, respect and honor internationally. We need to clean up the. We need clean up the mess in Washington, get us out of Iraq and find a health plan that really covers everyone.
I am an activist, helping draft Ballot Measure 23, Health Care of All Oregon; served on the State Health Insurance Advisory Board; and was member of 1988 Democratic Convention Rules Committee. Currently I serve on the Lane County Mental Health Advisory Committee; the Lane County League of Women Voters Immigration Committee; Fairmount Nieghborhood Association committees.
A strong union supporter, I am a retired member of United University Professions, AFT. Before retiring from "paid work" I was variously employed as a street gang worker, mental health counselor, alcohol and drug specialist, agency administrator and women's halfway house director.
