| My Statement |
"Dear Win,
"I understand that you are again considering running for delegate to the national convention this summer. I strongly urge you to do so, and hope that you feel free to share with others my strong support of your effort. "Many people know that you have raised money over these 36 years, but few appreciate how you have raised issues and how you have raised Hell. Your work with providing provocative policy and political information helped establish the foundation upon which this current wave of activism still relies. You have been tireless in your promotion of Democratic politics as well as helping to build the infrastructure here in Oregon. Your work for Senator Obama was not only critical to his primary victory, but to ensuring his continued success. "I hope that you are successful in your race for a position on the Oregon delegation. Not only have you earned it, but our delegation will be better when you join us in Denver this summer." --Earl Blumenauer, Member of Congress, in a recent letter. I run for delegate to this national convention based on my long service to the DPO and the state, my service to Senator Obama which began with chairing his first appearance in Oregon last September, and my fierce dedication to overturning the entire Republican regime which has set our country on a course to destruction. I proudly, but also humbly, ask for your votes.--Win McC | |
