Elizabeth Lopez

In 2004 the Latino vote increased to %73 from 25% in 2000. I take great pride in my role in this accomplishment. As the Latino Outreach Coordinator for the Democratic Party, I worked day and night to bring Latinos to our Democratic process. I can honestly say this has been one of the proudest accomplishments of my lifetime. It is my intent to take the lessons that I learned in 2004, as well as the lessons I have learned in my volunteer work for Senator Obama, to Denver in August. I believe that we can change the direction of our Country! I believe that we can engage the young, old, rich, poor in our Democratic way of life. Si se puede! Words I learned from my migrant farmworker parents so early in life that I have no memory of anything different. Words brought back to life by Senator Barack Obama! Words that will bring change and hope to America!
